From January 1 2021, the following changes apply

Carrier bags with handles, regardless of size and material, may not be provided free of charge. They must cost the customer a minimum of DKK 4 (incl. VAT)

Thin crackle bags made of plastic with or without a handle with a thickness of less than 30 ‘my’ will be prohibited. This does not apply to thin bags under 15 ‘my’ without a handle, which are typically used for fruit and vegetables.

This means that the bags below can still be delivered free of charge:

• Thin roll bags without handle
• Paper bags without handles
• Paper block-bottom bags without handle
